Rates

Everything is per 24 hours, counted from the time your dog arrives. There is no booking fee and no charge for giving medication. If your dog is collected outside the 24-hour period, a $60 daycare fee is added.

One dog - $70 per 24 hours

Two dogs from the same family - $140 per 24 hours

Two dogs, from day 15 of a long stay - $120 per 24 hours

Most dogs come for a week or two. Some come for a month or two, for a work posting, a house move or a long trip. From day 15, two dogs drop to $120 per 24 hours.

The long-stay rate does not apply during the Queensland December and January school holidays, or over the four day Easter period. Those are the weeks the house is fullest.

Public holidays add $20 per dog. They are the days I give up so that you can go away on them.

Extras

Adventure trip - $50

Special needs care - from $20 per day

Medication, including injections - no charge

Medication and special needs

Giving medication costs nothing extra. Tablets, drops, ear and eye medication, and injections - including insulin for a diabetic dog - are all part of the normal rate. A dog who needs injecting on a schedule is not something every boarder will take on. I will.

Dogs who need more than that - mobility help, a strict routine, close watching through the day - are usually an extra $20 a day, worked out at the meet and greet once I have seen what is actually involved.

What is included

Lots of dog play, a garden, a spot on the couch, regular rest to prevent overstimulation and overtiredness, lots of updates, medication as prescribed and a free meet & greet before anything is booked. For most dogs more rest is required rather than more exercise in this environment, but for high energy dogs a local walk can happen. Of course you can always book in ADVENTURE OUTINGS if staying for a week or more.

Please leave plenty of time to book in a meet & greet. It’s not always easy to slot people in.
