Somewhere to properly decompress
A dog on a long stay does well with a change of scene. Not another lap of the same streets, somewhere open, where they can stretch out, put their nose down and come home tired in the good way. So during a stay I take dogs out on adventure trips. We go at off-peak times, when these places are quiet and the dogs get room to themselves.
Where we go
Sandgate, for the water and the flat open foreshore-on long lines
Big open fields, for dogs who need to sniff and need space-on long lines
Creeks, for the ones who like to wade-on long lines
Kroll Park at Redcliffe in a fenced area during off peak times
The rhythm
One trip a week is a nice balance. It gives a dog something to look forward to without disrupting the settled routine that makes a long stay work in the first place.
What it costs
$50 per trip, on top of the boarding rate.
“I completely trust her, and Pablo will love being in a home with her dogs too.”
